A Giants loss would make this city feel better

January 29, 2008

By Khristian Peel

Ok, the Cowboys were the #1 seed in the NFC and almost everybody (except for Brett Favre and company) thought that Dallas were on their way to the Super Bowl and seeing the Cowboys play for a championship would've been more painful than the Eagles go 8-8.

Well, the good news was they lost in the second round of the playoffs because of Tony Romo choking (I don't blame Jessica Simpson). But the bad news is they lost to the team that Eagles fans, including me, hate almost as much as the Cowboys.

Now, I don't know about other fans, but speaking for myself, I wouldn't be able to take seeing Eli Manning hold up the Lombardi trophy on February 3rd. And besides that, they will ruin history and I want to be able to tell my children "I saw the 2007 Patriots."

I'm only 19 years old, I never saw the '72 Dolphins, the fUrthest my Super Bowl memories go back are Brett Favre defeating the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI so I don't ever want to witness the Giants or the Cowboys winning a Super Bowl, especially before we get one.

Well, hopefully, they'll take a beating like they did in Super Bowl XXXV when they were destroyed by the Baltimore Ravens 34-7 where New York's only touchdown came on a 97 yard kickoff return by rookie Ron Dixon, who also returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown against our Eagles in those playoffs.

We would love to see the Giants get killed like they did in that Super Bowl and it is a better possibility because the Patriots offense of this season is way more explosive than those 2000 Ravens, who won by defense. After all, we are cold-hearted, we're the best fans in the world, and I'm not just one of those fans who says it because I live in Philly.

Somebody else thinks so also. Check it out here!

I just want to see the G-boys get crushed so someone else from that team is forced to retire, ala Tiki Barber.  And, maybe Eli Manning's improving but if he wins a Super Bowl.........well I still won't think he's good.
