Donovan McNabb Should Be Back
January 8, 2008

I felt different about this situation last year, I felt it was time for a change, I wasn't bashing McNabb or anything, just felt it was time for another quarterback to step in and look toward the future (Kevin Kolb).
But just like everyone is entitled to their own opinion, everyone is allowed to change their opinion. And now I'm saying it....Donovan McNabb should be back here for the 2008 season.
Everyone wants to criticize McNabb for falling off, and I admit he has lost a step, even though it looked like he got most of those steps back in the last weeks. Three games that we won, which tells you that if McNabb can stay healthy next year then we have a chance to be a force.
McNabb finished in the top 10 in the league with a quarterback rating of 89.9, which is pretty good, he threw for 3,324 yards, which is also good for somebody who missed two and a half games. I admit that he could've thrown for more than 19 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions is just excellent.
If the Eagles can give him a solid premier #1 receiver, this team could be going places quick, but if they stay with Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown as their number 1 and 2, McNabb will struggle like he was at the beginning of this year.
With that being said, McNabb is running out of time so if he ever wants to win a Super Bowl, next season will be the time to do that.
